A group of community deejays from WQNA are committed to establishing an independent broadcasting presence for community radio. We are currently forming a 501c3 group called the Springfield Community Broadcasters and are pursuing options to ensure the future of community radio in Springfield. Doing this will take money and donations are needed and appreciated.
As we work on our 501c3 filing, we are currently raising money under the umbrella of the Illinois Central Blues Club, which is a 501c3 organization. Donations made toward the future of community radio through the Illinois Central Blues Club are tax deductible.
We’re calling for donations to save community radio! Visit our GoFundMe campaign.
You may also drop off (or mail) donations at Dumb Records at 418 E. Monroe. Many thanks to both the Illinois Central Blues Club and Dumb Records for their assistance. Other fundraising events will be coming soon. Stay tuned! Thank you for your investment in the future of Springfield community radio!
(Please note: any donations made to CACC when the station went off air at the beginning of 2019 were put towards CACC’s past operating costs for WQNA. All new fundraising goes towards the Springfield Community Broadcasters goal to keep our community radio going after WQNA’s FCC license is either renewed or expires January 1.)
